Bob Scanlan of Channel 4 and heard on XX 1090 is gathering food on Saturday. Along with John “The Coach” Kentera, bring some for to Ralph’s Grocery near SDSU. Bob writes, “September is Hunger Action Month, and there is a way for you to make a difference that has never been easier, or more rewarding. John “The Coach” Kentera and I will be hosting Feeding America San Diego’s Stuff The Truck event during our World Baseball Network (WBN) broadcast on Saturday Sept. 25th. We will be broadcasting live from 9:00-11:00 am at the Ralphs supermarket at the intersection of Montezuma Rd. and El Cajon Blvd., near SDSU.”

You’ll get to meet Bob and Coach Kentera — and be eligible for rewards. See Bob’s page for full details.

“Please join us as we help Feeding America San Diego to provide meals to over 400,000 of our neighbors each year, and give your self a chance to win some fun prizes while making a difference.”

KSON morning show producer and traffic specialist, Tori Peck will undergo a surgery today and is expected to make a “speedy” recovery.

Morning team at KSON, Cliff and Brooks told the audience what was happening with Tori.

She adds from her Facebook page, “Will be out of commission for a few weeks but I’ll be back in action and can’t wait to see you, horseback ride, run, hike, work and get back to life!! Miss you and will be in touch soon!”

Best wishes, Tori, hurry back!

PPM is the “Portable People Meter” being used in the market to track — or measure — the radio audience in San Diego. As told last week to those in attendance at the DSC On Jack get together downtown, the 100.7 is number one.

Across the board.

That has happened in their key target areas. Not bad for a station that hired on a team that was dismissed earlier this year from a cross town rival. Congratulations not only to Dave Rickards, Cookie Chainsaw Randolph, Chris Boyer, Ruth 66 and Emily Maguire … but to Elaina, Ed Trimble, Dave Sniff, and Gina Landau.
