1 November 2010

Welcome to SDRadio for Monday, November 1, 2010. There are only 55-days until Christmas!

Last Friday’s surprise move by Clear Channel caught many off guard. Channel 933 has dropped the Johnjay and Rich show and will be replacing it with Geena and Frankie V starting one week from today.

It’ll be a comfortable fit for both. Geena was previously at the station with the original Playhouse with AJ and company. Frankie has been kickin’ it into high gear since at the station.

Obviously, Johnjay and Rich are disappointed about loosing the San Diego market, but they can be heard via a dedicated channel on “I Heart Radio”.

“Thirty-five year radio vet and senior seller Todd Williams has left The Walrus and is looking for his next opportunity. Todd can be reach at email todnbrig@pacbell.net or by phone at 619 981-7815 or cell number 619 981-7815.”

Todd has a passion for radio and knows all corners of the San Diego market.

New station alert: K229BO at 93.7 MHz will be a translator (or repeater) of KPFK-FM. The station, based in Los Angeles, has a construction permit based in Rancho Bernardo. The antenna will be placed on Mount Woodson.

Also: KSIQ remains “off” air. The Campo based station with a booster station in Santee has been off for at least two weeks.

One more shot from Magic 92.5‘s Jagger who helped Bodie at the recent dog surf championship.

Meanwhile the morning crew, as well as the entire station in the LMA group of 91X, Z90 remain on course even with the ownership “shuffle” last week.
