Expect a throng of out of market reporters in addition to locally based stations in San Diego as the Carnival Splendor works its way into San Diego Bay. In a cruise gone bad, the focus will be on the passengers as they make way to our fine city.
KCBQ‘s Mark Larson had reports from Capt. Thom Burke the commanding officer of the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) earlier this week. Mark is an honory crew member of the ship.

While our name may imply we are a non-profit organization dealing solely with animal causes, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, we offer four extraordinary human service programs, therapeutic riding, pet encounter therapy, AniMeals, and humane education, which embody our mission of people helping animals and animals helping people.

21.9 million: The number of military veterans in the United States in 2009. Over 2-million veterans live in California. Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Congress passed a resolution in 1926 for an annual observance, and Nov. 11 became a national holiday beginning in 1938. President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed legislation in 1954 to change the name to Veterans Day as a way to honor those who served in all American wars.
