GelderHead Audio Productions, offering professional voice-over services to enhance business communications, announced today that it has completed the 8th edition of “Holiday Magic, a Gift for Children of all Ages 2010,” a CD featuring music and a holiday tale that will be distributed to sick children at Children’s Hospitals and their siblings. A number of singers and actors donate their talent for the CD, and funds are currently being solicited to cover the cost of production and ensure as many children as possible receive them.
Jeff Gelder, owner of GelderHead Productions, with the help of volunteers, distributed 2000 CD’s to nine hospitals in 2009 and he will exceed that number this year and plans to “play Santa” December 16th at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego.
On Sunday, November 14th, 2010 GelderHead Productions had its first annual “Hike for Holiday Magic” and for every $30 donation, each hiker will received a red Holiday Magic CD T-Shirt and provide CD’s to the kids at Children’s Hospitals.
This year’s continued tale on the CD is weaved by Jeffrey the surfer reindeer, Santa Claus, Jeffrey’s cousin Carlito who lives at the Wild Animal Park, Kate, Mrs. Claus, and other friends, who make their way around the world to visit the children. This year Santa is called away for an emergency Holiday Summit in Singapore. Mrs. Claus has to fill in delivering toys and gets pulled over for speeding in the sleigh by the North Poll Sky Patrol (NPSP). Santa returns from the summit and finds that all is well with the Holiday toy delivery and brings back the message of how important it is to honor all of the world’s holidays that include love, peace and joy.
2010 talent includes Broadway actress and singer Ashley Fox-Linton (from Del Mar, CA), Marc Graue, renown voice-over talent. The CD includes tales in several languages including English, Spanish, Italian, and Cantonese. Over the past seven years the talent has been remarkable, and includes award winning actress and singer Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Other performers who generously lent their talent to the CD are singer, songwriter Karl Anthony, nationally acclaimed voice actors, Canadian Artist Deb Monroe, and the talented and clever Glenn Hascall. Microsoft manager and writer Mark Patterson penned the script, and professional speaker Phillip Tanzilo, voice actors Greg Dehm, Heather Martinez, Penny Abshire, Tina Wilson, and Jeff Gelder also of KyXy 96.5fm, plays Santa Claus, Carlito, Kate, Mrs. Claus and Rudolph and Jeffrey the reindeer respectively.
The first CD was produced in 2003, when Gelder was tasked in a Landmark Education class to come up with a project that would enhance the community and ultimately take on a life of its own. That’s just what has happened, as Gelder now fields many inquiries about the CD all year long. “This year we hope to once again have CD’s for Children’s Hospital’s in San Diego, Milwaukee, Miami, Albuquerque, Orange County, New Orleans, Houston, Los Angeles, Taos, Delaware, Tacoma, Seattle, and New York! We’ve also had requests from other hospitals around the country as well as hospitals in Singapore.

For every $5.00 donation a child will receive a CD of their own,” says Gelder. “This is a labor of love that is received with much joy by children who are unfortunately spending the holiday season in the hospital and their siblings, who often crave attention due to so much being given to the ailing member of their family,” Gelder said. “We appreciate all donations! The more donations the more children that will be receiving an entertaining and possible educational CD.”
