Tommy Sablan knows that there is a big drug problem with our youth — and adults — in San Diego. He took his knowledge and with DaVida Plummer VanderPloeg the KUSI manager of newsroom operations, he helped to co-produce a two hour special called Oxy: What Your Kids Are Not Telling You.
The special aired last Tuesday, and the station is keeping the video available on their web site at KUSI.com. The on-demand video takes a look at the problem and how it is effecting us all.
Tommy writes about the broadcast and the feedback from viewers. “Great feedback, positive reaction. Lives were changed and eyes were opened,” he said after the broadcast was finished.
