Update: 5:45 a.m.: $60 Million Man

Ryan Seacrest has been signed by Clear Channel Communications to a $60 million deal, the NY Times reports.

The three year deal gives the 35-year-old host more time on the radio, and opens other avenues at the radio giant. Ryan is heard in Los Angeles on KIIS-FM and also mid-days on Star 94.1.

His show could expand to four hours at Star 94.1 and other stations that carry him. The multi year deal is unusual because it allows Ryan to control some of the advertising sales for his radio shows and embed his own marketing partners into the programming.

A San Diego radio tradition returns this week and it’s a simple random act of kindness of helping people.

The DSC on Jack presents the 12 Days of Christmas starting later this week. The premise is simple. Explain in 50 words or less why you want to nominate your friend for the DSC’s 12 Days of Christmas.

The form is available on line at San Diego Jack. The official rules are there and one of the keys to success are: if Dave calls, you have to answer the phone. If not, he’ll move on to the next one.
