JEFF & JER SHOWGRAM’ DEBUTS ON KYXY-FM ON MONDAY, JAN. 24
CBS RADIO’s Soft Rock KyXy 96.5 announced today that iconic morning radio personalities, Jeff Detrow and Jerry Cesak a.k.a. the Jeff & Jer Showgram have been named as the new morning team for the heritage mainstream adult contemporary station. The four-hour program will be broadcast on-air and online at www.kyxy.radio.com from 6:00-10:00AM, PT beginning on Monday, Jan. 24. Additionally, listeners can connect with the station via applications for a variety of mobile devices.
Together for almost three decades, Detrow and Cesak are radio veterans, having worked in Detroit and Chicago before arriving in San Diego nearly 23 years ago. Jeff & Jer have consistently been market leaders in San Diego at KKYY ‘Y95’ (1988-90) KFMB-FM ‘B-100’ (1990-93), KKLQ ‘Q106’ (1993-97), KFMB-FM ‘Star 100.7’ (1997-2005) and KMYI ‘Star 94.1’ (2005-09). The Jeff & Jer Showgram cast includes well known staples producer Tommy Sablan, Laura Cain and Randy Hoag.

The Jeff & Jer Showgram team is highly regarded both locally and nationally for their tireless commitment to important causes. Cesak’s personal and professional dedication to animal protection has lead to his recent appointment to the board of directors of the Humane Society of the United States. Sablan has been heavily involved with the families of child abduction victims Amber Dubois and Chelsea King and also became a leader in the prevention and education of prescription drug abuse in our San Diego schools.
Sonny West, Susan DeVincent and Kevin Dean will move to afternoons Mon-Fri 3-7pm and Gene Knight will move to evenings (M-F 7p-12m) also beginning on Jan. 24.
