Legendary call letters from a station that remains …. legendary. Officially, it’s KFMB-FM. Long time fans are noticing a different twist to the call letters have come back.

Since the DSC Show On Jack has been on air, you’ll hear Dave Rickards call ‘em, KFM BFM, San Diego.

Dave explains, “When I was working at WZPL in Indy, our mid day jock was going on and on about how he thought this radio station in San Diego had the coolest delivery of their letters. He said it to me in his velvet perfect mid day voice. KFM BFM. He told me this story once. Lo and behold, 25 years later, here I am working at this radio station, and I, too, thought it was a cool delivery, so I brought it back.”

Nicely done!

Wednesday’s edition pointed to a magazine article about San Diego’s premiere couple on the air. Jagger and Kristi are on Magic 92.3. See yesterday’s edition to read their story.
