San Diego, CA – Broadcast radio industry veteran Matt Stone has been named Music
Director/Assistant Program Director at San Diego’s KSCF-FM Sophie@ 103.7, it was
announced today by Charese Frugé, Program Director at Sophie@ 103.7. Stone will
assume his responsibilities for the Modern AC station heard on-air, online at

Stone most recently held positions as Program Director & Morning Show Personality at
KRUZ Santa Barbara as well as Program Director for KBBY since 2008 and will take
over Music Director/APD Duties at CBS RADIO San Diego’s Sophie@ 103.7. “I am
absolutely thrilled at this amazing opportunity. To be joining Charese and the
Sophie team in San Diego is a dream come true! I cannot wait to be on the ground in
SD and get to work,” says Stone.
Frugé comments, “Matt is a “Rising Star” and an A player with an impeccable
reputation in the industry. I can’t wait to have him on the Sophie team.”
Stone previously held positions as Program Director and Afternoon Drive Personality
of WTMT in Asheville, North Carolina, and similar posts at WSMS in Columbus, WRRX in
Florida and WJAD in Georgia.
Stone replaces previous Music Director, Cristy Westfall, who has resigned from the
position and will be in house until May 20th. “Cristy will be truly missed. Her
passion and dedication to the station have been a big part of our success so far. I
am thankful for everything she has done for the Sophie team,” Says Fruge’
Stone attended St. Mary’s and State College, PA. and is admittedly a “complete music
freak.” He will reside in San Diego.
