R Dub is Magic and Z90′s PD and Brand Manager

Local Media San Diego (LMSD), a San Diego-based broadcasting company, today announced that it has hired veteran programmer Randy “R Dub” Williams as the Program Director/Brand Manager of Magic 92.5 (XHRM) and Z90 (XHTZ). Williams will handle all programming/branding responsibilities for the two heritage San Diego stations. In addition, Williams will continue to host the PMDR show on Magic 92.5.

Williams has 20 years of radio broadcasting experience as a Program Director, Music Director, and on air talent in the formats CHR, Rhythm, and Rhythmic Oldies. Most notably the Program Director of Rhythmic Oldies KHHT 92.3 Los Angeles. The recipient of numerous broadcasting awards, he is also known for his Sunday Nite Slow Jams show that is syndicated in over 60 markets. In addition, he has produced a movie and authored a book. Williams will begin his full time employment with LMSD on August 15.

“I absolutely love and live both formats….not often does a scenario come along where you get to program two of your favorite formats and stations in the world”, says Williams.
