Who Was That: Cliff Albert was heard on all San Diego stations, television, and cable stations yesterday. He was part of the emergency broadcast of a severe thunderstorm that was in the county. All part of the duties as the primary Emergency Alert System.
During the announcement, the primary station, KOGO-AM 600 sends an audio feed that automatically interrupts broadcast outlets in the county to relay important information. The announcement does not tie it back to KOGO, but to the responsible agency. In this case, it was the national weather service that sent the alert out.
Just another ordinary day for Mr. Nooz.

KSON‘s John and Tammy are resting comfortably at their new home — only seconds at a time.
The new morning show at the country station have came in and kicked heels — while taking names. The team joined the San Diego station after leaving Madison, Wisconsin.
The morning team have been together since July 2000. They spent their first six years together at Madison country Q-106 before joining WMAD shortly after the launch of Star Country in 2005. The team worked for Clear Channel Communications in the dairy capital.
Best wishes to the highly nominated and top-rated team as they start their San Diego adventure.
