Welcome back to SDRadio for Tuesday, August 30, 2011.

KCR Radio general manager Josh Hoffman is taking it to the streets by displaying the call letters — in his hair!

Created in 1969 and operating under a free-form basis, KCR College Radio is the only student-run broadcast outlet at San Diego State University. The station is very popular and has been recognized for breaking new artists into regular rotation.

As for Josh — don’t expect Marky Mark Larson of KCBQ to do the same — although some radio experts believe KOGO‘s Cliff Albert would not hesitate.

760 KFMB has dropped Phil Hendrie. The overnight host has been replaced by “Red Eye Radio” that features Doug McIntire.

Phil fans can hear him Saturday night on KFI.

Red Eye Radio is gaining traction since its debut. The show originates from WABC in New York.
