KCBQ broadcast host, and engineer, Jack Vincent celebrated his 94th birthday last Saturday night at Shotgun Tom Kelly‘s secret pool hall in East County. Jack had several special guests on board including Ken Kramer, Marty Levine, Jeff Prescott, John Fewell, Steve Blessing, Gilbert Smith and others to help him celebrate.

For the tenth year, A.J. lived in a crane down by the San Diego river in the elements with one goal: get toys for the Rady Children’s Hospital. A.J. did it again — living on a crane high atop of the parking lot brought in excess of 100,000 toys for the hospital!
“Thank you to all who participated in the 10th anniversary of AJ’s Kids Crane! We reached our goal of more than 100,000 toys for kids at Rady Children’s Hospital” the web site posted prior to last weekend’s rain storm.

This is the start of the second week of KOGO-AM with a simulcast at 95.7 FM. Added: Bryan Suits at noon. His local emphasis San Diego show also brings in his vast knowledge of military background on hotspots around the world.
LaDona Harvey moves her high-energy show to 2 p.m. For the first hour, she is heard on AM and FM. Roger Hedgecock starts at 3 p.m. at AM 600, and LaDona remaining on FM until 6 p.m. Bob “Sully” Sullivan hits the two hour show that lasts until 8 p.m.
Chip Franklin remains at KOGO stating his AM/FM run at 5 a.m., followed by syndicated host Rush Limbaugh at 9.
Roger picks up his program and moves up the AM dial starting in January to 760 KFMB.
