8 December 2009

Around the morning dial in San Diego: cliffKSON-FM 97.3 and 92.1 FM. Since they have landed in San Diego Cliff and Company have been setting records. They've shook hands around the county, and been nominated for various awards -- yet keep the San Diego fun. Cliff Dumas, Bill Tanner, Morgan Thomas and producer Tori Peck know San Diego and know country music. The ring leader, Cliff Dumas is originally from Canada and his mark in country music there is huge. In 2007 he became the youngest broadcaster in history to be inducted into The Canadian Country Music Hall Of Fame. He’s been named Country Radio Personality Of The Year in Canada 18 times! Not afraid to pick up a pen, he's written 30 network TV shows including specials for Anne Murray, Paul Brandt and Terri Clark. He has written for the weekly Tommy Hunter show, Canada’s longest running music variety, on the CBC network. Morgan Thomas is the one who keeps Cliff and Tanner in line. She has been in radio over 25 years, working in North Carolina, Florida and New York. This is her first trip to California and quickly adopted the Chargers, Padres -- and the sunny and 70 degrees. tannerThe witty one, who is able to rhyme on cue and the resident punster, it's Bill Tanner. He has made stops along the way as a waiter, a carnival ride operator and a mailroom clerk. While not afraid of hard work, he is able to script out a funny bit in seconds and able to leap adjectives in a single bound. Producer Tori Peck makes sure guests booked and that every morning the show is running smoothly and on time. Tori also is the Traffic Reporter making sure the highways are reported about during the morning commute. ~~ Due to the late posting of today's report, Wednesday's edition will publish at 9 a.m. (Pacific).
