Beginning today The Voice of Merrill featuring Chris Merrill joins the KOGO lineup weekday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Chris Merrill, has enjoyed tremendous popularity as a radio personality over the past 12 years by combining his passion to entertain with a unique perspective of current events. The Voice of Merrill is a high energy program that is unlike traditional radio talk shows and the perfect addition to KOGO’s strong local programming lineup.
“We are excited about KOGO completing the transition that began last November as San Diego’s first news talk station broadcasting to a larger audience on both FM and AM frequencies,” said Market Manager/President, Debbie Wagner.
With the final piece of KOGO’s programming lineup now in place, the LaDona Harvey Show, will now be heard weekdays from noon to 3 p.m. Friday. As a strong advocate for citizens and a longtime former San Diego news anchor LaDona is known for confronting local public officials and exposing government waste and wrongdoing.
In evenings, the Bob “Sully” Sullivan Show will now air from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. every weekday. As a native San Diegan, a singer, musician, businessman, and a veteran of San Diego talk radio, “Sully” knows what listeners care about and presents it in an entertaining way.
KOGO’s new line up of news and talk programming also includes the addition of respected broadcast journalist (formerly with San Diego Fox and CW affiliates) Lynda Martin as news anchor on Chip Franklin Mornings. Hosted by acclaimed talk show host, comedian, and political satirist Chip Franklin, Chip Franklin Mornings will continue to air weekdays from 5:00 to 9:00 a.m.
