The GelderHead Thought Of The Day: Flaming enthusiasm, backed up by horse sense and persistence, is the quality that most frequently makes for success. ~ Dale Carnegie
Welcome to SDRadio for Monday, December 21 — the start of Winter. At least daylight will start getting longer soon.
~~
The events at Rock 105.3 will be answered, at least from the Clear Channel side, this morning at 7 a.m.
Mikey writes at MikeyShow.com: “I don’t imagine that I’ll be given the opportunity to speak to them on Monday either, nor am I sure that I would want to subject myself to any more hurt or to get into an ugly cycle of he said, she said. I guess I’ll be hearing their side of things along with everyone else. It’s only through the grace of God that I consider myself a man of integrity. As a result, I stand firmly behind the notes I posted on Facebook Friday and on MikeyShow.com this morning. I will likely respond to whatever is said on Monday morning online, but then will need to begin the process of healing and moving forward to what I see clearly as God’s new path for me. I have love in my heart for each of the other members and I ask that if you’re the praying type, that you to pray for them, along with myself and my family during this difficult time of transition. Thanks for your continued support, man. God bless.”

Tis The Season. On the AM band, this would be the time to go and hear long-distance stations. Sample catches include: KOA 850 AM, Denver. KRVN 880 AM Lexington, Nebraska. WOAI 1200 AM, San Antonio, Texas. KFAB AM 1110, Omaha, Nebraska.

KOGO-AM 600 is having special programming this week. Program director Cliff Albert writes: “Christmas Eve…3pm-5pm yours truly hosts a two hour special featuring our personalities and staff sharing their holiday memories.
“At 5pm, The Bethlehem Report, featuring our staff, along with Rush Limbaugh and Art Bell, a half-hour special news report on the first Christmas if radio news had been around 2,000 years ago.
“Christmas Eve 6pm-10pm and Christmas Day all day….we air “An American Christmas” with Chip Davis and the Mannheim Steamroller.
“George Noory does live show Christmas Eve 10pm-2am.”
The The Bethlehem Report is a great way to hear how news would have been reported 2,009 years ago.

Would it be the finest move?

OH Schnitt! A Clear Channel radio genius at Channel 933 in Tampa set fire to promotions van when attempting to deep fry a turkey.
The radio “stunt boy” was attempting to cook the turkey in the van at the Clear Channel parking lot. ‘Fester’ Dominick Siciliano attempted to fry a turkey but the van caught fire prior to cooking.
The van was a total lost.
‘Fester’ is part of the MJ Morning Show, one of Clear Channel’s Premium Radio service.
The MJ Morning Show host Todd Schnitt said on air the attempt was to “illustrate the dangers of turkey frying.”
Video of the carnage is at from Fox TV Tampa.
As God as my witness, I thought turkey’s could fry.
