How can you not love Ruth 66 at the DSC heard on Jack FM. Some say Ruthie has lost it for many years — and yes, she has lost weight on a great program. Hear her story of dropping 60-pounds and making a positive change. Best news: her journey isn’t over yet. Very proud of my friend Ruth!

She’s the winner of the Kyxy Criminal contest. She found the guy at 11am yesterday on Mission Trails.”

Tommy adds: Monday morning at 7:40 on Jeff and Jer the KYXY DIGITAL MILE OF MEN 2012 kicks off. We’re starting to gather up MEN for women to choose on Valentine’s Day. Starting Monday, we cast the MILE and explain how this all works. It’s a CYBER MILE of MEN for you to choose from. You still have to call in, but this time, you see the men on kyxy.com with their messages to you and bios. It’s going to be fun and we’re working out all the details as we speak.

Over 4,000 motorcycle riders participated in Sunday’s Josiah’s Dream Ride. From at least three points in the county, riders grouped together and rode to Carlsbad, in North County San Diego.

At the Santee location, Clint August afternoon host at 101.5 KGB had hoped for at least 100 riders to make the journey north. An estimated 400 riders gathered at the Coffee Corner.

The number of participants continued to grow and combined Josiah’s original dream of several thousands was shattered by the conservative estimate of 4,000 plus motorcycles Carlsbad.

HUNDREDS of motorcycle riders GATHER TO MAKE A 13-Year-old boy’s dream come true.

San Diego, CA — January 17, 2012 – Southern California motorcycle riders are invited to participate in a ride that will fulfill the wish of a bed-ridden, 13-year-old Carlsbad boy. Josiah’s Dream Ride will take place on Sunday, January 22, 2012 – rain or shine.

At a very young age, Josiah was diagnosed with a debilitating disease which now prohibits him from leaving his bed. Even as a toddler, Josiah loved motorcycles. He received his first Harley-Davidson toy bike when he was three-years old and has been a fan ever since. Josiah loves Beatles music, the television show “Deal or No Deal” and motorcycles…especially Harley-Davidson.

A love of motorcycles is what fueled Josiah’s dream…to see and hear one hundred or more motorcycles ride by his house! 101.5 FM KGB Radio’s Clint August and fellow motorcycle enthusiasts in San Diego, Riverside and Orange County hope to make this dream a reality by inviting all interested riders to join them for Josiah’s Dream Ride.

There are four starting locations for the ride throughout San Diego County: Ronald McDonald House in Kearny Mesa; Sweetwater Harley-Davidson in National City; The Coffee Corner in Santee; and the Econo Lodge in Carlsbad. Riders from all locations will meet at the Econo Lodge parking lot in Carlsbad before beginning the ride to Josiah’s street. The Carlsbad Police Department will be escorting the riders in the final leg of their journey beginning at 10:45 a.m.

With regards to the announcement, Clear Channel San Diego President and Market Manager, Debbie Wagner said, “We’ve built a strong partnership with the San Diego Chargers over the past seven years and look forward to bringing San Diegans the excitement of NFL football on KIOZ-FM and KLSD-AM for another three seasons. Whether supporting and promoting team rallies, interviewing players or covering pre-season activities, the partnership fostered between the San Diego Chargers and Clear Channel Radio San Diego extends to our entire cluster of stations, including
World Class Rock 101.5 (KGB-FM), Channel 93.3 (KHTS-FM), Star 94.1 (KMYI-FM), News &
Talk (95.7-FM / AM-600 KOGO).”

“We are happy to continue our partnership with Clear Channel for the next three years,” said Chargers Executive Vice President-CEO A.G. Spanos. “We’ve had a very good relationship with Clear Channel for the last seven years, and their variety of stations in the San Diego market allows us to reach Chargers fans through a wide range of platforms and music genres. It’s a winning combination.”

In addition to live play-by-play coverage of all Chargers games, both KIOZ-FM and KLSD-AM air locally produced shows prior to and following each game. KLSD-AM dedicates programming time year-round with the “Chargers Power Hour” airing weekdays from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.

In the new world, everyone — radio, Net services, television, streaming, podcasts — is equal.
You hit the Pandora app, or the app that gets you KROQ, or the button that calls up
NPR or Adam Carolla or YouTube or NBC. Your car will do it, your phone will do it,
your TV will do it. Your toaster might do it.

You’re not going to be in the radio business. You’re going to be in the
entertainment business. You already are.
